Donald Quintin

President, Opportunity Funds

Donald Quintin is the President responsible for directing origination activities of the Opportunity Funds globally as well as the Residential Mortgage Funds in North America. Mr. Quintin has 28 years of experience in the financial markets, comprising corporate and real estate investing and portfolio management. Since joining Lone Star in 2010, Mr. Quintin has served in multiple leadership positions, most recently as President, Europe, with oversight of all origination activities across the region. Mr. Quintin is a member of Lone Star’s Global Risk, Market Risk and Senior Management Committees and is a member of certain portfolio company boards that are investments of certain Lone Star Funds.

Prior to joining Lone Star in 2010, Mr. Quintin was a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch. During his time there, he managed various businesses, including distressed structured debt trading and mortgage sales and trading and oversaw various legacy portfolios including the Merrill Lynch Bank investment portfolio. Mr. Quintin began his career at Bankers Trust as a derivatives analyst before moving to Salomon Brothers, where he served in various banking, trading and management capacities within the mortgage and corporate credit divisions. Mr. Quintin holds a Bachelor of Arts from St. Lawrence University, is a graduate of the Senior Executive Fellows program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and holds a Post-Graduate Diploma from the University of Oxford, Saïd Business School.
