Lone Star Real Estate Fund II

Lone Star Real Estate Fund II (U.S.), L.P. and Lone Star Real Estate Fund II (Bermuda), L.P. (collectively “Lone Star Real Estate Fund II”), formed in December 2009, held their final closings in May 2011 with $5.5 billion in combined capital commitments. Since its fundraise, commitment amounts for Lone Star Real Estate Fund II were reduced to $4.9 billion. Over its 46 month investment period, Lone Star Real Estate Fund II invested substantially all of its equity capital in 30 investments comprised of 2,957 assets with an aggregate purchase price of approximately $14.8 billion. Transactions consummated by Lone Star Real Estate Fund II included investments in commercial real estate debt and equity products in the U.S., Western Europe and Japan.

Driven by the limited availability of capital and financing, Lone Star Real Estate Fund utilized its large pool of capital to strategically acquire a global portfolio of distressed real estate and real estate-related assets throughout Japan, Western Europe and the U.S. Lone Star Real Estate Fund has substantially liquidated all of its investments.
